friend's visit day seven...

The last day...Le Marais

We just stuck close to home on the last day of their trip...

Enjoyed a great Falafel which is a traditional Jewish sandwich and super popular here!

Then we were off for a bit of shopping on Rue des Francs Bourgeois/Rue des Rosiers and then to Place des Vosges for some wine ;-)

The Invader is a street artist who has tagged many buildings in Paris and all over the world

Place des Vosges a famous square near my Apartment and where Victor Hugo lived

friend's visit day five...

M and I stayed home for Day 5 because we were EXHAUSTED but my friend's enjoyed Le Louvre, Jardin de Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Elysées all the way to the Arc de Triomphe!  Afterward M went with his grandparents for the night and we went to the 6eme for coffee, aperitifs (at the Famous Cafe Les Deux Magots) and ate Laudrée Macaroons!  F met up with us and we had a wonderful French meal at a local French Restaurant.

Sorry Photos of Food will be in a separate blog post ;-)

friend's visit day two...

Day 2 of my friend's visit...it was an action packed day in the 16eme and 7eme arrondissements.

First stop ~ Parc du Champs de Mars, The Eiffel Tower and Trocadero (great photo op up there!)

Second Stop ~ a ride on The Bateaux Mouches - scenic tour of The Seine River

View of most of the beautiful bridges on The Seine ~ Pont Alexandre III

Great view of The Eiffel Tower on the boat tour

Stop Three ~ Les Invalides (Army Museum) where Napoleon is buried (we did not tour the Army Museum but it is a beautiful building not to be missed)

Stop Four ~ Rodin Museum...we just toured the grounds for 1 Euro great deal! We were short on time plus some of the main works are outside the mansion...would be better later in the spring when the flowers have bloomed but still and nice and relaxing tour
